One of the reasons this whole blog site is titled "It's the little things" is because it is the little things that God uses sometimes to show us he is near! Its a matter of us opening our hearts and minds to see the little things that God is using to show us just how big He is and how much He loves us. Romans 1:20 "For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God."
It the simple things, like today, I came across some new songs I had never heard before, but as I listened to them they spoke right to my present situations and those of others I know! Normally, I wouldn't have time to sit around and scroll through iTunes and listen to new music,but today I did (Accident? I don't think so). Those are the moments that can create such intimacy between us and our Savior, because only God knows what we need to hear, only the One who created us knows our hearts fully and completely!!! So, today was another one of the many "little moments" that I want to share; in hopes that maybe in your listening and hearing to the words of these songs it will be the start of you beginning to see how God sometimes uses what seems to us like the simplest things, like a few songs, to bring about a huge harvest of joy, peace, comfort,rest,healing,hope, just a fresh reminder...etc. Whatever it if you need, Jesus is!!! We were made for Him, to know Him, and to make Him known!!
1 Kings 19:12 "And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper"
"The Alter" has become my prayer for The Pillars Conference in Feb. For the girls that will be atteding as well as the team of us that are planning, preparing and praying!!! All though we don't know whose coming the Lord knows, and even now asking God to prepare their hearts and ours for what He wants to do! Praying we will be humble and obedient. That we would be still and follow where He leads!
"If the LORD delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand." -Ps 37:23-24
