Yes, I believe

"We have heard with our ears, O God; our fathers have told us what you did in their days, in days long ago....It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of yor face, for you loved them." Ps 44:1-3

If in reality we are seeing few wonders of God in the midst of His people, shouldn't we inquire as to why? Are we not desperate for it? Is God no longer willing to intervene miraculously and wondrously in our behalf?

We are surrounded by a dying and depraved world, mounting violence, surging fury of satanic assault and seduction. We are desperate for the wonders and miracles of God. We need Him to show His mighty arm and tell the world that He is alive, and very much with us.

We are told that churches are in terrible decline. Many of today's pastors ans leaders are depressed. Oppressed. Throngs of clueless people encircle us. We need more than the best programs and planning can accomplish. In fact, we need more than we even have the courage or imagination to ask.

Oh, that the church would fall in its face and cry out the words of the prophet Habakkuk: "LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O LORD. Renew then in our day, in our time make them known" (Hab 3:2).

"My ears had heard of you, but now my eyes have seen you." (Job 42:5)

Lord, I want to be like the one to who You said, "Women, you have great faith!Your request is granted" (Matt 15:28).Florish this kind of faith in me. God! Help me see it coming to life.

"We have put our hope in the living God." (1 Tim 4:10)
