Banners for Connecticut

I had the joy this past weekend of spending some time in my favorite small town. But don't let the fact that it's small fool you! God is going to do and is already doing BIG things in Starke, FL. This small town stole my heart back in August of 2011 and has yet to give it back! :) 

Last Sunday, middle school and high school students at First United Methodist Church of Starke were asked what they could do all the way from Starke, FL- to show the people of Sandy Hook Elementary support. They joined together and raised a banner to show the grieving families that they are not alone. That they care and are praying for them.

“He lifts up a banner for the distant nations,
he whistles for those at the ends of the earth.
Here they come,
swiftly and speedily!”-  Isaiah 5:26 (NIV). 

Join them and raise a banner for Connecticut! Get together with your youth group, family, friends, whoever and RAISE a banner for Connecticut. Take a picture and share it on Facebook or Twitter so that the families in Connecticut will know that people all over are thinking of them and praying for them!
